I have the exact same noise.. did anything ever come up about it?? Being 4yrs later. Ford said it was the VCT solenoids when cold will make that noise. I'm gonna try un plugging mine on a cold start and see

I have to disagree with your assessment on the engines. I owned a 2017 ND1 and now I own a 2020 ND2. The 2 feels more like a sports car than the 1, and the engine feels more refined. The ND2 really likes to be driven.

I was able to do 4.1's on 305 Nitto drag radials on the street if they were hot. 15' PP. I later procharged it and my best 0-60 was 3.2 on drag radials fighting spin the whole way. I had a 6 spd, and imagine an auto would do a sub 4 second 0-60 stock, with drag radials.

If you have the base model how are you able to put it in drive modes without the synch 3 and toggle switches

I had an ND1 and sold that to get an ND2. I don't like to mod my cars so the upgrade in power and higher redline is nice to have. It's definitely a very noticeable difference. I'm not sure why Flyin' Miata shows that but I can for sure feel torque down lower in the rev range in the ND2 and will carry all the way past 7200rpm. If you're going fast, then the higher rev range is where it matters anyhow, so that extra horsepower being up top makes sense. If you rev it all the way into redline, then upshift, you're going to land right back in 6800rpm or so.

Distance opening and window up/down + the start of motor from outside the car is not available in Switzerland on my model 2017 + also the 3 front light led's are also disconnected and right /left turn signal is not sequential like in the States or AUDI/BMW in Europe ...-:(

I have an ecoboost myself. I was definitely on the fence on which one I wanted. I will say for driving around town it is a lot of fun. The handling has been very good. It has enough power to be really fun, and you definitely feel the turbo. I played nice with it on the highway and actually got better gas mileage than I expected at 35mpg on the highway. If you punch it around town that turbo can really eat the gas. With spirited driving locally I was getting around 18mpg. I know that GT has to be a lot of fun though!

The top of your engine sounds “normal”. Mine sounds exactly like it. These are noisy engines. I do have the “bbq tick” and 2k rattle. Car runs great. Just going to enjoy my warranty and if nothing breaks within warranty then it’s all good. After my warranty is up I plan to go sleeved short block anyways and go whipple. Just send it.

Just get a 5.0 V8 mine Is one and it runs and accelerates AWESOME

replace your fuel pump w DW-400 and start putting in 11 quarts of oil even though the book says 10. And that is from FORD walnut, creek and Valve Auto Novato (CA) NOT Motorcraft- use Amsoil engine oil rear diff and transmission. I have a 2019 GT w just about every Steeda, BMR full suspension replacement, control arm, sway bars, verical links, etc...Pedders, Granetilli coil packs, MGW, DSS solid shaft w G force rear axles, Roush cold intake and tune, 11 quarts my friend and JLT oil catch cans.

I knew all of these. The windows down with a 2x hold on the unlock is pretty common on a lot of cars (exact techniques vary). Try it on your BMW/Honda/Toyota, it might work also. How about - there is a pen holder under the arm rest.
